happy women’s day!!!

Today is International Women’s Day, and I wish all women a happy holiday!
Many times, we are accustomed to measuring women’s work from a male perspective, thinking that humility and amiability are their nature. In fact, as individuals with independent personalities, women are essentially no different from men.

Often, women’s treatment and status are somewhat ambiguous. Sometimes they are treated firmly, sometimes they face discrimination. The term ‘female rivalry’ is a relatively recent word. When I first heard it, I was quite shocked. Some people, in heightened emotions, might compete for a man, even if, in a certain sense, he is just an idol rather than someone tangible and physically present in their lives. This not only made me reflect on whether the current social structure and ways of doing things are truly biased toward men.

I might be a bit selfish. I wish women are independent, capable heroes who can stand on their own, and do not necessarily have to be subjected to various judgments from men. Biologically, women have many inconveniences, but a modern, harmonious, and inclusive society is precisely one that treats men and women equally. Women can enter the workforce; women can say ‘no’ to the label of ‘having to be a housewife.’ Advocating for women’s rights may essentially be a pursuit of a better society. The future will definitely be better; women’s rights will surely be protected; and a happy tomorrow will definitely come!

Once again, on the 116th Women’s Day, I wish all the women in the world a happy holiday!
